SAUDI ARABIA: Rains Lash Pilgrims, as Pilgrims Stone the Devil
Violent storms Wednesday wreaked havoc on the annual hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia but didn't cause any notable injuries or halt the processions.
Around 2.8 million people took part in the pilgrimage this year, a religious requirement for any able-bodied Muslim. It is the largest annual gathering of people anywhere in the world.

Over 500 Palestinian Pilgrims Delayed in Jordan
QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- A group of Palestinians returning from Mecca said Friday that they have been delayed in Jordan since 10 a.m.
Pilgrims blamed poor coordination by the Palestinian Authority Ministry for Religious Affairs for the delay.

Pilgrims Rush to Conclude Hajj as Heavens Open
MECCA, (AFP) - Muslim pilgrims rushed to wrap up their rituals for the hajj and headed to Mecca on Thursday as the world's largest annual pilgrimage was hit by a storm that exacerbated congestion.
